When I login it says failed to "connection failure: unable to connect to pvp.net server". I have been having this problem for a week. I tried re-installing, disabling peer-to-peer, fixing my DNS and cleaning my computer, nothing works. Sometimes if I restart my computer and try to login right after it works but after I login and I'm at the front menu it gives me the same error. Please Help.
I have had this problem minorly for several months (usually happened 1 time every day I had a login attempt), but this patch it happens 2-5x every time i try to login. There is no solution that I have found, it is a huge error takes me a good 5-10 mins to get around sometimes as the launcher is crashing after I get the error. This is enough of an issue that I'm sure people who have this error decide not to play league as often because they can't log in easily.
Yup I get this issue every time I try to log in. Usually takes around 10 - 20 tries before it finally lets me in. I didn't start having this issue until patch 4.21.
Same here. Last time it happened, I changed passwords, and I could login. But happened again today, changed pass and still can´t login.
I just started having this issue yesterday (Monday, December 15, 2014) and now I can't log in period. I tried repairing it, went looking through my firewalls, and have tried running as an administrator, NOTHING WORKS. It started on patch 4.21, oddly after the Leaver Buster update.
Call me a conspiracy theorist, but I think Leaver Buster has gone full Skynet on us and has murdered League.
No update on this? It is taking 10+ log-in attempts to get into the client. As many others have stated, this issue started in 4.2.1.
This problem has also started on my computer since 4.21 You login, can take up to 2 minutes loading then unable to connect to the PVP.net server appears and the client closes down. I have not had this issue before and there seems to be no fix bar repetedly trying till it works. Have followed all normal proceedures new Inet explorer etc etc etc to no avail.

Dude I was having this problem apparently, and as soon as I clicked "Disable Menu Animations" just to see, sure enough I logged in. Strange.
