Clash didn't work

Me and 4 other friends tried playing clash just now and we waited the 30 minutes to get into scouting phase, we get through scout phase then we go into a queue for some reason even though we have been matched up with opponents, It kicked us out of clash and said we won the whole day or something and were given a 4th place orb.

Whats going on...
