Can not see friends list or recent play list
When logging into the LoL client I cant see the friends list or connect to the chat server, whats going on? My friend is having the same issue.

The entire right side of my client is blank and i cant connect to chat. I just wanted to play with my friends Q_Q
Honestly gotta give it up to Riot they find ways to break the client even more. Clash release is gonna be hilarious.
Are you kidding me RIOT ? My friend is online but on my clinent i see that he is OFFLINE - and he have the same issue he dont see right panel in the client with friends etc - he gave me his pass and i logged in on my pc and all was working - i added myself to his friend lists and then he loged in - but i still see that he is offline and he still have the same problem... - when somone says "noob l2p" u are giving BANS but when you actually screwing up ur clinet that costs us our time - you are doing NOTHING - this topic is created 2 days ago - and u still didnt do sh*t to fix it... GGWP RITO - No wonder ppl are quiting the game :)

IN EUW same thing happened but i could match-make, but in ban/select lobby i can't chat it says "connecting" also before this happened i could not see the name of the people in chat ( during ban/select phase), this is what i was seeing " f2fsjnw23jnk123jkn3jk123nj54jn7jkn79n79" ( their ID?)

this is soo fucking lame! i am having the same problem too. RIOT FIX THIS!!! i should only be dealing with this BS if i log on the PBE server not on the normal client! dumbasses can't even make the normal client work

I had this problem two days ago and now I'm having it again. I didn't think a working client after 10 years would be too much to ask
I fixed it with changing my windows time to the correct time
my friends have the same issue, he can play a game, but if he tries to /w anyone it says cannot connect to pvp chat. An update from rito would be nice
Ye man same here. I try to stalk my friends since they all are better then me but now I cant look up their match history or pm them.
Finally, thanks to Riot's crappy client invisible mode has been implemented!

Both me and my roommate can't see our friend's lists. Just a big blank black chunk. It's been so buggy lately even before this...
Me and all my friends are having the exact issue, the two of my friends who don't are as confused as we are.

Same here (EUW). I also started a Q but got stuck in Ban phase and the client kicked me out thinking I dodged.
Weirdly enough I was having the problem where my friendslist completely disappeared, I got names back early today. However, my friend and main duo partner doesn't appear in the online list even when he was online earlier, and we can't even add each other to games by name. Other friends in my list appear online, but not his. Weird.
I also cant connect to lobby chat, post game.
My friend list is broken, it's not showing any friends and isnt working at all. chat isnt working in lobby and matchmaking too(in matchmaking lobby it's just showing "connecting...."). only working on in-game client. i reinstalled my client but it didnt sovle the issue.

Why Riot is so fast at receiving my money for the Mecha Kingdoms Pass..... BUT ISN'T FAST ENOUGH to resolve this problem with the friendlist so i can enjoy my F..ing money and complete the missions with my friends and have fun????? Plus the fact that i can't use the chat and see the progress of the missions....... [sg-shisa]
Reinstalled League 3 times with the new client nothing seems to change . My Mecha kingdom pass Is doomed [vlad-salute]
I followed the advice of downloading the latest client from the league of legends website and it worked. The odd thing was when I went to uninstall the client it didn't even show up on my install list. I had to manually go into the folder and use the uninstall program. The new client is completely different from the old one in terms of the login screen.

Guys, the new client can finally be downloaded from the official league websiite which fixes this problem.

Having the same issue. Apparently there are power outages in LA rn, maybe it has something to do with it. o:
I can only invite friends by serching their sum name... so dumb...
My friend is having the same issue, I see her offline and she can't see the entire right side (the chat interface). At the end we could join a match together because she invited me by searching me in the invite. It is an annoying bug and I hope they can fix it soon.

RIOT GAMES! Please fix this client, the whole right quarter of my screen is black, I can't type in pre-game or see if any of my friends are online, very disappointing after ten years and still having problems like this. Please fix this or make a new client, we should all get some free RP for all of this frustration.

I cannot see jack. It's all black on the right side. Can't invite friends. Can't chat with friends. Can't play with friends.
WTF is going on?
The LoL client got lots of trouble lately. If you stay online for a while, the client starts lagging alot etc. Also the friendslist, doesn't show your friends icons, sometimes you cannot invite your friends, you gotta type in their name manually from the invite section. Idk, I miss the old client.
