Zed's Ult is cancelled by Talon's abilities?

I was using Zed and this happened twice during laning phase where Talon's abilities somehow overrode Zeds ULT.

Talon would dash to me and use his ult and everything the split second after I use Zed's ult, which apparently cancels zeds ult.

Is this the expected result or some kind of glitch?
