I started playing League of Legends for the first time on Monday the 9th of February 2015. The first three days I played I enjoyed, and think I have won a total of 12 games so far. I enjoyed it so much that I spent $10 AUD on riotpoints to help support the game because there was no box price to purcahse league of legends, which I spent on unlocking a champion and a cosmetic skin. I came from Guild Wars 2 Esports (top 1000 in europe for team arena) and chose to give League of Legends a fair go because the ping from Australia to Europe made it hard to compete with others at such a high level of play. And League of Legends had oceanic servers, and also that there are more players in League, so I figured the que times for high level players would be far better. However since the 5.3 patch I have been unable to play, I have essentially wasted more than 8 hours of my time trying to figure out a workaround for this patch to work.
I wanted to give League of Legends a fair go because of the above positive reasons, but the negatives are definitely starting to outweigh the short lived enjoyment as I am unable to play. I regret spending any money on riot points and now I would describe my whole experience with League of Legends as disappointing.
Option 3, if I could go back in time to one week ago, I would tell myself not to waste the time or money trying out league.
