The Poro King Chests are a bust

I was so excited about your new (snowdown) chests and ready to get a new fun skin from the (PORO KING) treasure chests, But I was so disappointed more then once after opening my new (PORO KING) chests when they didn't give me anything worth my while. Let me explain, I finally got 3 shards to unlock my new PORO KING chest then when I finally opened it I was confused so see that it had given me a skin I already had. Come on RIOT is this just laziness with the coding, I mean I at the very least expected to get a skin I didn't already have. Even if it was a lower tier skin, but a skin I already have, I mean the coding is already there. I know because when you reroll three skin shards it promises you a random skin for a champion you don't already have. So please tell me why you didn't implement this same method with the PORO KING chests as well. This was super disappointing and it happened to me more then once as well. I will leave an attached file to show you my luck two skins from the PORO KING chests that I already had. All I really want is something worthwhile when I open a chest. I would be happy if you would fix the coding for this and replace my two PORO KING chests, to be honest the opening is the most fun part of the whole thing I share the experience with my kids. However, I understand this may not be possible if you just gave me something else worth my trouble I would be equally as grateful, understanding that the season for this is almost over anyways. Thank you for your time look forward to hearing from you. P.S. if this isn't you're department please pass this message along I'm not sure where requests like there belong but letting this fall between the cracks would seriously be demoralizing since I do love playing this game so much.

Hey Johnmarine7,
The Poro King treasure chest works just like a regular Hextech Chest, so it is possible to receive a skin you already own. I can't refund the chest for you, but you can still disenchant the skin for essence or use it to reroll into another skin.

I appreciate the response, but I don't think this is right. I think it's kind of bologue and lazy coding that makes the poro king chests spit out the same loot as a typical hextech chest would. Why spend the extra time and effort even make a big deal about a poro king chest with cool new visuals if it was intended to give the exact same loot as a hextech chest. Might as well just give me shards to a hextech chest instead of getting my hopes up with a flashy good for nothing poro king chest. Jenny please help me out here I mean I understand you work for Riot and your job is to respond to emails but pass this message along. You can see this is bogus and needs to be fixed it's lazy coding that honestly should be replaced. I also know that means a paid Riot employee would have to do the coding but seriously I paid for the seasonal promotional chests the least you could do as a company is show your consumer you care about them.

I agree it's a bad experience to receive a permanent shard for something you already have. That being said, that's the way the system works. Unfortunately, as Player Support, I am unable to change how it works. I recommend forwarding your feedback to the development team on the Boards. The team is always looking at the Boards to get a feel for things players think could be improved.
