(Gameplay) Yasuo breaking supression

So I was playing a match today, with a Yasuo mid against a friendly Malzahar. Post 6, Malzahar would ult Yasuo, and then Yasuo would use his third Q to launch Malzahar and kill him. Later, I (playing Skarner) ulted Yasuo under a friendly tower, held him in suppression for a full second, just before my ult ended, he launched a whirlwind and killed me. I'm not sure if it was server lag that was not loading his Q soon enough, or if he is not responding to suppression correctly, but this occurred several times over the course of them game. This is an incredibly frustrating bug because he was breaking out of sure kills, and rendering two of my teams ults basically worthless.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

This happens to me every time. One time I was playing against a Cassiopeia. I ulted her first, but somehow she was able to ult me immediately after I started channeling, stunning me and stopping the ult. It's a fundamental problem that should be fixed. You shouldn't be able to cast spells after getting stunned, silence, suppressed, etc. by anything that should stop you from casting spells. It's like when you're Blitzcrank and you pull an Ezreal. Even though you hit him, he still gets his Arcane shift off and he blinks away. That shouldn't happen. Riot please fix.

I hard already ulted and held him in suppression before he Q'ed. The problem is my ult hadn't ended yet. He killed me before the last half of the damage went off, which with the tower shots should have killed him. Plus I lost about a half second off my ult time, which would have given my tower another shot or two.
