Boomerang or just a stick

I stumbled upon this issue, as I was watching my fellow players getting ruined in some solo q. They were against a "Huntress" sivir down bot and as my spec-cam followed her around, I noticed that her q animation would stop before it's returning. However, im not sure that this is an in-game bug, but sure annoyed my naked eye during the spec.
