Fear Cancels Vi's Ultimate During Charge

Exactly as the title says: During the game, Vi ulted the enemy Zed. Enemy Fiddlesticks cast Q on Vi while she was still charging, fearing and canceling her ultimate. Copied from the wiki page for Vi:

"While charging, Vi is immune to crowd control and will knock aside enemies in her way, dealing 75% damage to them."

Since fear is a form of crowd control, shouldn't Vi be immune?
