Anyone know why a bunch of us can't play?

Myself along with several others are experiencing a client crash bug where we are unable to enter the game beyond champ select. It began after the mini patch today. I have tried everything including reinstalling the client. The one game it affected I was able to get in only after restarting my computer and attempting to reconnect 20 times. By some miracle, my team was winning the 4 v 5 and I ended up being able to contribute despite being out of the game for 20 minutes. I do not think I received a fair amount of LP. I gained too much for it to be fair with this issue. The enemy Lux also had issues getting in, but was able to get in within 3 - 5 minutes apparently just by hitting reconnect a lot. I've checked my ping, it's not the internet. It tells me League was unable to start and has crashed. In this current state, I will not be playing League until there is a fix. It's unfortunate, but I refuse to subject anyone to a ranked loss because of my inability to enter the game. EDIT: I would like to add that I am NOT on Mac. I play on PC.
