Ranked System No Longer Matching with Same Elo/Tier

Summary: Not being ranked with players of my tier or even my elo anymore, and frequently losing games as most of my teammates are mid Bronze or mostly Unranked!

First off I haven't played ranked consistently for a few months, so perhaps my problem could be this, but I'm having a pretty obnoxious and quite frankly a tiring issue. When I queue up on both normals and ranked, I used to be matched with players of my elo/tier (Silver 1/2) and the occasional gold player. Almost every game I play now I have at least several bronze players (usually B1, B2, but occasionally all the way down to B5) AND players that are unranked and still on their first matches. And it's not just normals or Ranked, or even the occasional game. It's every game. And on top of that they are frequently misbehaving (griefing/afk'ing) and it's getting beyond ridiculous.

I understand that the game pattern will adjust to your playstyle, and if you're losing games frequently you'll play with other players who lose frequently, but I'm really feeling like the only people I play with nowadays are bronze and unranked, which is considerably frustrating and confusing. Nobody wants to climb up from Bronze to play with Bronze players all the time. It's not just exhausting, it makes the game damn near unplayable. Like I said, this could perhaps be just how the system is run, but when it comes to ranked and trying to climb is IMPOSSIBLE when you are matched with people who don't understand the game or how it works. I would totally understand if this is not a glitch, but at the same time I have a hard time believing it's not.

I do feel like it is an issue only because I used to be matched with Gold V/IV and mainly high Silver players even up until 2 weeks ago, and I haven't dropped rank. If anybody else is experiencing this as well I would like to hear their thoughts on the matter. I'm not overly fond of just starting another account and climbing again since I have enough money spent on this account that it would be a waste, but I also am getting pretty fed up with these comps/matchups.
