Extremely frustrating client bug causing me to not be able to reconnect to a game.

So I was in the middle of a "One for All" game: MF vs Swain. About halfway through the game I was stuck in the reconnecting message, so... I pushed esc. and clicked leave game, but instead of doing what it should have done --- send me to the screen where it tells you to reconnect, instead I am sent straight back to the League homepage????? I tried four times to reconnect by restarting my client but the message to reconnect to the game was never shown. I hate this because the game way going really even, I don't see anyone surrendering in the short time that i was dc'd. Please help this is really frustrating. I know that the game is ongoing right now because I don't see the match in my match history.
