Stuck on this hellish Reconnect Button!!!

I play on a MacBook Air, nothing else is running in the background, and I haven't played for months

I have a LPQ, and I wondered why I had that. Now I know. Its because of this RECONNECT BUTTON

For some reason,

(1). every time Champion Select ends and the game is about to boot up, It flashes "Game Still in Progress" for about 0.8 seconds and then reverts to this "Reconnect" button.

(2). Every time I click the "Reconnect" button, it does not enter the game or reconnect, but repeats (1)

I think I may have quit this game months ago because I had this issue and there were no clear solutions. Even though I havent actually connected it still counts me as AFK and I am probably going to have a LPQ again. This is EXTREMELY FRUSTRATING because it basically means I have to wait 20+ minutes to see if something I've done has fixed the connection issue! Its rubbish!

But on topic, is there any way to fix this? Again I have a MacBook Air, Firewall is Off, I have no applications running that I know of besides LoL, Ive switched my ISP since last I logged in yet still this Reconnect Trap persists.

I just googled around and it looks like other Mac users are having the same problems as me. They mentioned that in the program files "LeagueClientUx" wasn't working for them and I checked in the files for my LoL and discovered I have the same issue. When I go to open LeagueClientUx I get the following:

You can’t open the application “LeagueClientUx” because it is not supported on this type of Mac.

It also has the app icon for a Broken application and it takes up 0 bytes

Could some mods please explain what is going on here? It clearly seems to affect a lot of Mac users. I hope this isnt about Case Sensitivity, that OS update already ruined steam for me...

Edit: I deleted LeagueClientUx, did nothing

I'm having the same issue on a windows 10 desktop computer with a score of 93 on riots lag test service. 39 ms. I can connect to the server, log in and join queue just fine but the moment I get to the point where it SHOULD be a loading screen I go straight to the reconnect button. it happened once in a ranked game and now once in an ARAM. I really hope I don't get penalized for this. I've been working hard on staying in good graces.

So unfortunately I spent a whole week trying to figure this out same thing stuck on the reconnect button can't load the game no mater what after the champ select screen. The Good news is that I FIXED it at least on my comp I do run the newest OS Of Mac on a older Mac Catalina. what I had to do is wipe the device and reset it, to factory mode but I firsted made sure I was gonna install he newest os to save me trouble. so here's what to do.

back up all you stuff on a external, turn off your comp Put your computer into recovery mode (press and hold power, command, and r) for some reason it showed 3 hdd. ME , Me data, I think the bottom one was ME os, I erased the top 2 not the os to the first option on the top, should not be case sensitive or incripted. then left the disk utility made sure I was connected to the wifi and clicked on the restore hdd it showed the correct os, the correct hdd, and when it was set up I didn't restore from anything just set up as a blank slate.

after it installed I installed league right away and then tested it. it work connected my iCloud , and still work. id say if this helps id be happy =D cus I couldn't find any help anywhere I think its a glitch with something on the install of the os or some setting. hehe. my in game name is GrabemDragon TTV hehe
