[CRASH] Patch 6.8 is not being Applied due to which the Client is crashing after Champ Select

I launched the LoL Client today and after it downloaded the patch 6.8 fairly quickly, I proceeded to log in and queue up for draft pick. Everything went smoothly till after the Champ Select.

Blank Screen with an Error message saying "You have disconnected from the network, please reconnect to the internet." So I clicked ok and pressed the Reconnect button in the client. Only to be given the same message again and again.

Tried closing the client and logging in again, but the error persisted. 10 mins into the game, and my team was basically playing a 4 v 5 match.

I restarted the computer and then launched the client again. But for some reason it started 'Applying the patches' now. And after that I was able to reconnect into the game, only to find the enemy at my base turrets.. So yaa we had to ff at around 20 mins.. item 3070

So basically, the patch DID get downloaded, but it wasn't applied, because of which, the client would not allow me to enter the game after Champ Select.

Upvote, if this helped you.

Just experienced the same thing now that I downloaded the patch. My client crashes or "fails to connect" right after champion select is done. I've tried simply reconnecting, closing the client and restarting it, and now I've tried restarting my computer but the client still won't get past champion select. I'm on Mac as well, Riot needs to fix this, it's not possible to play.

EDIT FIXED! issue solved by uninstalling Razer software and re-downloading lol client.

Same problem on my mac of being unable to get past the black screen after champ select. I have seen elsewhere that pressing enter, space, delete can help but this has done nothing for me.

I have also seen that it could be programs running in the background causing the issue and I am inclined to agree because I have only had this problem since using new Razer headphones (apparently Razer synapse can cause the issue but i have uninstalled and this has not helped).

Any fixes greatly appreciated.

Would be great if riot could actually listen to their fan base/players and bloody do something to fix this as this has been an on going problem for the past 10 patches and i'm so tired of this i'm moving to DOTA. At least that way i won't have to worry about this pathetic potato loading error they're failing to even care about.
