League client issue on Mac

I have been having an issue with League on my Mac after Patch 6. The issue is that when I run League, it will open the exec file and then League but while I play league it will open another instance. My mac dock will have 3+ League icons on it due to each instance, if I play for a few hours it can go as high as 7 of these instances._ Even right clicking and Force Quit will not close these. The only way for them to close is by shutting down my computer (forced shutdown) as the instances will not allow the computer to shut down on its own, since it sees the instances as if they were still a running application(s)._

I have tried repairing the League files, completely reinstalling, even installing an older version of league so that it forces a re-patch and all end up in the same scenario, which is instances opening up while I play league and I noticed that my chat also is affected. The status of in game or in queue, or even sending messages are sometimes not received or updated immediately. Perhaps it has something to do with these multiple instances.

I am reporting this as I would like to know if perhaps by any chance I am heard out, I can start enjoying League even more as currently these nuisances are making it hard to communicate and at times those instances consume more memory so I get considerable lag.
