Unable to ban in new draft mode

I was starting a ranked game in the new draft mode. I picked my preferred champion without problem. I did notice that the client was extremely laggy though. I was the first to ban. I could type in the search bar, but when I clicked on the champ I wanted to ban it did nothing. I got an error about being disconnected. I get these errors sometimes during team assembly, but usually it resolves itself after less than a second. This time, I did apparently not reconnect. Because I could not pick a champ, I could not lock, and was kicked out of the queue.

I have a steady and fast internet connection, and am running nothing requiring a broad bandwidth in the background. When I'm waiting for a game I occasionally get a red warning sign indicating that I'm disconnected, but it usually disappears in a fraction of a second.

My question is; how do I solve this kind of disconnect? I've had this problem for a long time, but before the new draft mode it never formed a big problem. The constant risk of being kicked out of a game changes everything however.

I have no issue whatsoever once I'm in-game. It's just in queue. I am 100% certain it isn't my internet. I have a internet-cable attached and I'm on glass-fibre.
