weird fucking bug in client

for your information, im on an Imac, OSX 10.9

So basically what is currently happening is that whenever i start up the client, after i log in, it waits a couple of seconds and then shows me the message: you have been disconnected. trying to reconnect, etc. and then it stays like that for about 10 minutes and then shows the message "unable to reconnect, please restart" or at least, among those lines

the weird part is that, in the background, i can see people coming online and going offline, getting into a game etc. I tried reinstalling the game and it still gives me the same message. ive been going at it for about 2.5 hours now. Does anyone know how to fix this?
