Hello,

First off, thanks in advance for any help posted.

I was playing league fine yesterday, all of a sudden I get this popup today saying "Unknown direct x error. has occurred and league of legends can't start. Please install latest drivers from manufacturer bla bla bla". After doing several searches it seems it's been a pretty prevalent problem in the past and I've listed out what I've done below to remedy this from following other people who have encountered the same problems.

The steps are:

  1. Go through champ select
  2. Once coutdown reaches 0 and game is about to start
  3. CRASH

Happens EVERY SINGLE TIME I try to play.

I have:

Updated drivers (MSI Nvidia GTX 970) Reinstalled league Deleted .cfg file Run league as an administrator Deleted Direct X from registry to force a reinstall Attempted to install Direct X with executable from windows site (says already installed - no install necessary) Installed .net Framework Added "Graphic Tools" in additional features in windows 10 Rollbacked my drivers to 391.35 Run the "repair tool" inside league client disabled then re-enabled my graphics adapter in device manager

None of the above have worked. Not sure what to do from here as it doesn't look like there was anythign that happened between yesterday and today in terms of updates from either nvidia / windows / league that should be causing this.

Try sending a support ticket. If you tell them all of this they may have more ways to help fix it. I was sad that you already said "run as administrator" because that's always my go-to fix lol. Good luck finding a solution!
