I liked Riot Games on Facebook, obtained a code to unlock Riot Girl Tristana, and the client keeps telling me that the code is invalid.

More than likely, you used the promotion which is only valid for players on the EU West and EU Nordic & East servers. A mate was just asking me about the same thing, so you can redeem the codes for Garen, Alistar, and Tristana (with one free skin) on those servers.

Sorry, but I don't think Americans get any promotions of the like.
