200+ fps first game barely 30 the next

I get over 200 fps the first game then as soon as I get out of the game the client starts running slow. When the next game starts I have around 20-30 fps and even my discord that I'm in starts lagging and everyone's voice gets robotic. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the game and I've set my GeForce settings to default like recommended. I can't figure out whats going on. Thanks.
