Windows 10 LoL Black Login Screen

So i recently updated my computer to Windows 10, and every single time I would click the launch button after the patcher went through, after that it brought me to a black screen, which where i can still click on things, but i cannot see any of them, i have tried to repair and even re-install LoL, but it doesn't seem to work at all, now this is either a problem with windows 10 itself, or something to do with the client, I'm hoping its a problem with the client, because if it's a problem with the OS, then I'm screwed cause knowing Microsoft, they don't care about a single persons problem. If anyone has this same problem or knows of someone with this problem, and has fixed it in some way, please notify me as i would love to play LoL on my new OS. And as for Riot, I would advise looking into the problem, because this might affect a lot more people than just me and a few others.

I have windows 10 and haven't run into any repetitive issues. Time from time alt-tab during load screen I'll get an driver error but nothing to big. With new OS, it is typically an issue with your drivers. I would check to see if updated drivers have been released for Windows 10 by your computers manufacture if the problem consists. Hope this helps.

Hey, Ich had the exact same problem this helped me:

  1. Right-click on the League of Legends launcher
  2. Go to Properties, and then to Compatibility
  3. Check Disable Display Scaling on high DPI Settings
  4. Also check Run as Administrator
  5. And uncheck the Compatibility mode
