If someone is flaming you in game, I'd highly suggest avoiding the situation by muting the player(s). 'They started it' isn't a viable argument so your response of 'kys' isn't acceptable. Flaming/raging is against the Summone's Code, and is a punishable offense.

Excessive negative behavior can result in a Two-Week or Permanent suspension at any time without having a chat restriction on the account. Saying 'kys' isn't taken lightly, due to it's implications.

you said kys you got banned. that isn't nothing so learn from it.
If by without reason you mean saying something that very easily triggers the automated system twice in one game. Doesn't matter if others were flaming, they are responsible for what they type and you are responsible for what you type.
That sucks man. Honestly, I think that anyone that's offended by the word 'KYS' would have to be unrealistically sensitive. I really don't know why Riot takes the word so seriously.
