In Game Timers Majorly Off

The in game timers for friends has been forever messed up for me. There's no way to duplicate it because it's ALWAYS some ridiculous number. Even if two games are both 20 mins in, one could say 199:48 and the other 146:72. I have no idea what's causing it i've tried everything! Repairing client, etc etc. Am I the only one?
