Black screen crash on game start

After champ select has ended and the game is supposed to begin, instead of the loading screen all I get is a black screen. It never connects no matter how long I wait. Clicking anywhere on the black screen causes a crash dialogue to pop up. Attempting to reconnect results in the same black screen. Restarting the client attempts to auto connect to the game and also just ends in the same black screen. I have to fully reboot my machine in order to connect.

This happens with both Ranked matchmaking and Practice Tool games.

Same thing happens to me. I can here the game going on and stuff though

Same thing happening to me. Ive tried updating my drivers, cleaning registry, reinstalling, hextech tool, disabling firewall, and reinstalled on a different hard drive AND OS. I have a good computer (i7, gtx 1080, 16 gb ram) and am still having these problems, they need to fix their client.

Try this as a temp fix for now, hopefully riot actually addresses this instead of ignores everything and pretends it's fine.
