Constant Lags and Crashes

For a while, being in game during one of my current matches everyone was enjoying their time playing as usual in Summoners Rift. Then all of a sudden everyone including myself were lagging and crashing, and sometimes even at once. The first few times were not as bad as the ones right after them, my team wrote in chat that the game is crashing on them as well to ensure that everyone is not the only ones endure this potential bug or a source of disturbance that could have been caused by an update currently occurring for something being released. I will not say it is a bug, but can potentially be one in the future if it is not a disturbance caused by an update. I do not know what the new updates will be, but from what I was informed from a fellow League of Legends player, it was due to the update and again I can not be 100% certain until we receive a notice about what had happened. Right when the lags and crashes were getting worse for a few minutes, my game completely crashed to a point where it took me out of game as I tried to reconnect. Once again I am not 100% certain what was the cause for that issue, but I do know it somehow took me out of the match I was in and I do not know if the same happened to the rest of my team. To those who were with me in that match I will give out the Champion names so you know who were in that unknown problem and so we can play a match some other time, the names of the Champions on my team were Tristana, Udyr, Teemo, and Ryze, I was Zyra in that match, as for those who were on the opposing team, they are Kai'sa, Rakan, Xayah, Garen, and WarWick.
