Buggy Sion

Last night I was playing Sion jungle and for some reason his w failed to pop when it was fully loaded. The animation dislayed but there were no particles and it wasn't doing any dmg. I was able to observe that his w worked if you pop it before it was fully loaded. It was realy bothering me bcs it slowed the clear time.
