League booted me from a game, and did not allow me to reconnect

I was disconnected in the normal fashion, however, once i had left the game to try and reconnect to it (I find refreshing it in this way clears up the issue anytime i have it, which is rare), the league client simple logged me back into my account... on the normal screen not the the game i was currently 11mins ish into. I was able to queue up again without any problems, I didn't follow it through though because i feel bad for the team that my client abandoned and do not want it to happen again to the next.
