Orianna forgot her ball at home [GAME]

I was playing Winter Wonder Orianna yesterday, and after attaching my ball to shaco, and having his Q- Deceive with it attached, after him leaving my range it is supposed to revert back to hovering above my shoulder. But for the rest of the game it was just gone from its inactive position. If i used Q or E on someone it would appear on them, but it was never in its inactive position again. Another weird thing was if i E'd myself while it was in inactive position, the shield would appear, but the ball was nowhere to be found.
