Chat box keeps moving every game

Hi, since a few patches ago I've noticed an issue where my chat box moves to the centre of my screen every time i load into the game. I think I've found the reason why. I play with my minimap on the left side of my screen. When I swap it back to minimap on right the chat moves to the bottom left but when I switch it back to minimap on left, the chat moves to the centre of the screen. It seems something is stopping the chat from going where it should thus it cant save it's position cause it isnt being registered

Update: I got a response from Riot support saying because of the file report I submitted, they're aware of an issue and are working on a fix. No ETA but they're aware of it and actively trying to roll out a solution

How is this still a thing after 7 months? Minimap on left also.

Me too.

Steps to reproduce: Start a game in Summoners Rift Change settings to: Interface -> "Show Minimap on left" Move the chat to a position where you like it to be. Start a new game on Summoner's Rift.

Expected result: Chat is still in the position where you moved it before. Actual result: Chat is being reset to the default position.

Hope this finally gets attention.

Work around :

opening \Riot Games\League of Legends\RADS\solutions\lol_game_client_sln\releases\0.0.1.100\deploy\DATA\menu\hud

adding XPos and YPos values to [PlayerHudChat] e.g.

[PlayerHudChat] Scale=3.1056 YPos=100 XPos=50

Increasing the X value will position the window more to the right. Increasing the Y value will position the window more to the bottom of the screen. (might need to use negative values)

Some experimentation is needed

I'm also having this issue, and I also don't have the menu/hud folder to do the temp workaround. If it's relevant, I also have my minimap flipped to the left side.

Same, I play with the minimap on the left side since I'm left eye dominant. I have this issue as well. Please fix it Riot!!

You should be able to fix this by resetting config files and then editing in new config. However, apparently Riot hates people who use the Minimap on the left and even with fresh Config files, it assume your minimap is on the right the issue persists. Why is so hard to allow X,Y coordinates for most game elements? I'd especially love to be able to move the new eternal stuff around to less "in the way" places.
