(UPDATE: I have found out that it is indeed the creator update for Windows 10. Essentially almost all mice are seen as a generic 3 button mouse rendering keybinds useless in games such as LoL, Warframe and others. It may be patched by Microsoft at a later point if enough noise is made about it.

MB4 works everywhere except in game. I was able to bind MB4 to trinket before 7.6, yet it stopped working. I tried to bind trinket to something else and rebind, yet LoL couldn't pick up MB4 at all.

I originally submitted a Technical Support ticket per Riot Support twitter's suggestion. I've tried what Prynce suggested to do, yet it didn't work. I'm following Prynce's advice and posting a bug report.

The only software I have is Radeon Settings that came with the driver for my AMD PowerColor R9 380 4GB. I haven't changed anything and just leave it on default settings. So, I don't think it's that.

(Below is Prynce's advice.)

My name is Prynce from Riot Player Support. We've been getting reports made by players in regards to no longer being able to keybind MB4 and MB5 since the last patch. A majority of these instances are actually caused by configurations made by the player's gaming software. I recommend that you immediately disable the gaming software that is needed to configure your computer, then try to reproduce the issue.

If this did not resolve the problem, I would like you to take the time to "reset" your in-game/Config settings. Due to the recent changes in how the Config files are saved, you'll need to do the following to reset your Config settings:

Launch League and Login
Minimize the game and Navigate to C:\Riot Games\League of Legends
Delete the Config folder
Start a Custom Game to verify changes (everything should be reset to default).

If neither of these issues resolve this, it would be in your best interest to submit a bug report about the issue that you're experiencing, as this is something I cannot resolve with traditional troubleshooting.

Can you bind MB4 to the trinket key instead of binding trinket to MB4? For example, I have one of my extra mouse buttons bound to z, which is my melee attack in Overwatch.

I have exactly the same problem. I have Steelseries Rival. I still have binded mb4 to taunt or dance but it didn't work in game. And when I want to chance bind game don't respond on clicks too. Maybe it's not because of last patch but because of new Game Mode in W10?

I have the same problem. I have a Razer DeathAdder and I even sent in a support ticket but things are not working. I believe it has been since patch 7.7 for me.

I'm having this issue as well. I use MB4 and MB5 for player attack move and it will no longer pick it up.

Yup everyone, just to say that it seems the pbm got fixed in my case. Seems weird since I did not notice any update neither from LoL nor W10. I suspect W10 Creator Update to be partially responsible of this. It also totally destroy my fps in game...

deleting the config folder did not work for me but I found an other way around it. I downloaded x-mouse button control and binded mb4&5 to an other key(combination) for example if you use mb5 for your trinketitem 3361 you can bind it to 4. I use my mb4 for attackmove-click so I binded it to shift-rmb. this worked perfectly fine for me I hope this wil work for someone else aswel.[slayer-jinx-catface]

Patch 7.9, Windows 7 i can't bind MB4 anymore :( i am not using any game software

i am so used right to it right now that i can't play the game properly (i am a main support that can't place wards)

i have the same problem, i can't bind my MB4 and MB5 ingame anymore, the game acts like i don't have extra keys in my mouse, RIOT PLEASE FIX IT , i can't play like this .

It's because of the new Windows 10 update and has nothing to do with the League client. They've recommended rolling back the recent Windows update.

UPDATE YA'LL!!!!!!!!!!!- DELETING THE CONFIG FILE AS MENTIONED ABOVE AND JOINING A GAME WORKED. I WENT IN AND WENT RIGHT TO THE HOTKEYS AND THE MB4/5 TOOK RIGHT AWAY. The hud scale, color bling mode, and what not were also reverted but im just glad its working. THANKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

having same issues. i thought it was my mouse and bought a new one. It randomly started working again but then stopped. Not sure what happened. Im desperate to have it back

guys im in euw serveur i did the exact thing that prynce said ( delete the config folder ) and then i deco and reco to leagues and it worked i can bind mouse key 4 and five. thank you prynce and thank you hoodeddemon for making this talk about the bug .
