[Gameplay] Vi's Q skill ceases to function after respawn

I have experienced this bug 6-7 times in 76 games with Vi.

Upon respawn, Vi's Q will not function. You hear the sound of the charge and see about 1/3 of the direction indicator if you mouse over and click the skill. Hitting the Q on keyboard does not produce the indicator. I only payed close attention the last 3 times, but in the last 3 I have noticed I was always mid charge when I died previous to respawning with the bug. I believe the issue may reside there or it's relation to Vi's passive There have been no common champions in all three cases. The only way I have been able to correct this issue is to exit the game via then menu and reconnect when prompted. This solution has worked every time.
