Kindred passive bug? [Gameplay]

This is a little difficult to replicate because of the random nature of the Wolf portion of Kindred's passive, and it is quite rare/difficult to be in this position in a game, let alone as a Kindred.

Prior to 20 min game time (i.e. Rift Herald was still present), Wolf targeted what I think was the monster in the Baron pit. It was a bit hard to tell because the minimap icon for targeting didn't seem significantly different between that and the Rift Scuttler (shifting the location of the target icon on the minimap relative to the Rift Scuttler's target would be a worthwhile change for clarity).

As I could not tell which was the target, I killed both the Rift Scuttler and the Rift Herald, however, the hunted icon persisted, and not until I later killed Baron did it disappear. As such, it might be possible for the Wolf portion of Kindred's passive can target Baron before he's actually spawned on the map, which obviously is a problem if it is the case.

To replicate:

1. Attain at least 6 stacks of Kindred's passive (Mark of the Kindred) prior to 20 min, either through champion kills or taking Wolf marked camps. This is so Wolf will only target epic monsters
2. Kill the Rift Herald prior to 14:45 (ideally before) to allow time for it to respawn and be killed again [2a. Kill top left Rift Scuttler to ensure that this is not the monster being targeted (sometimes not clear which is being targeted)] [2b. Kill Dragon and bottom right Rift Scuttler to reduce possibilities for Wolf targeting)
3. Wait for Wolf portion of passive to refresh (must occur prior to 20 min) onto monster in the Baron pit
4. Kill Rift Herald again once it has respawned
5. Observe if target icon is still present - if so, replication was successful
6. Verify by killing Baron (once it has spawn, post 20 min) and observing if icon disappears

I have had this occur twice in two tries, but haven't tried to replicate it more than that. The issue with it is that the passive may target the Rift Herald properly, as opposed to targeting the not-yet-existent Baron.

Also, I run on a rather unhappy laptop which may or may not explode if I try recording video while playing League.
