Did not receive XP after a pvp draft pick game

I just had two pvp games where I didn't gain XP after the game. Was wondering if there's anything that denies granting XP after a game... For example: bad performance, surrendering, disconnecting and reconnecting, etc. Or did I gain XP but it's not displayed in the match history? Could someone please help clear things up.
