When Xerath's Q is held it will channel but the ability will not cast, this has happened a few times to me already in the past 2 days. It may have also happened during his R, but as I am new to him, I cannot completely confirm, as I may be casting it wrong sometimes. But his Q definitely does channel but not fire when Q is let go, after holding.

It's only the indicator that disappears. The ability it's still charging, and of you press Q again, It will fire in the direction your cursor is pointing at
I've been having problems with not being able to use Xerath's Q lately, too. Thought I was just bad, tho
I main Xerath and have definitely seen this problem. Glad to know it's being looked at.
This happens to me too with Pyke and other channeled abilities. Just press the ability again when you want to cast it, worked for me.
