[CLIENT] Mac League of Legends Game Clients Fail to Close After Matches

Currently playing on a Macbook Pro, and written after contacting Riot Prynce through Riot support.

When a match is played through the Mac, a new instance is created on the Dock as "League of Legends", creating a fullscreen window of the game. Loading and playing will not result in any issues, however, upon ending the game, the new instance does not terminate itself as expected and remains trapped on the Dock. Force Quitting does not work (with a right click nor through Finder), and these instances cannot be found through Activity Monitor. Essentially, there are "ghost" instances of the game trapped on the Dock.

  1. Start a new match through a Mac (any game mode)
  2. New app will begin loading on Dock and open fullscreen game
  3. Complete game, closing the post-match results
  4. Previous new app should appear stuck in Dock

The only solution I have been able to find is through the Terminal, running the command "sudo killall launchservicesd" followed by "sudo killall Dock". It is possible this is an issue related to my OSX, although nonetheless I was told to post here. Thanks.
