in a bot game i was playing as wu kong. in the first 5 mins or so i died and the kindred character mask thing (i think its the new character kindred) appeared over my head when I died. right after that, eveyrone on the map had this yellow trail thing emitting off their characters when they walked for a few seconds. after that happened the game went on normal.
This happened to me two when i died as zed in my last game in blind pick. It freaked me out?
I think because kindred is literally the embodiment of death. Still it's pretty great hype generator. I just died in a team fight and was sitting there " wtf is that mask? ohhhh kindred is coming". Maybe with an increase in frequency of mask sightings her character will drop around then.
It's an Easter egg. RIot drops them into the game to get the community psyched about new champions.
