I got a problem, after windows update, it looks like my fps is somehow capped at 40 fps, even tho i got set in settings uncapped (used to have 60-80fps). I already searched for solutions(game bar, DVR, ...) and tried some solutions, none of them helped me. Would be happy, if some1 have solution for this. :)
I was unable to play for about 2 months. The game would be remade before I even loaded in. The few times I actually made it into game I capped at 30fps, and 5-8 fps in team fights. Over that length of time I fiddled with A LOT of settings, ran RKill then MBAM and a full windows security scan followed by an offline scan, ran DISM, SFC scan, chkdsk /f, and about a week ago I did something that made me able to load into games right away instead of 20 seconds all the way to NOT loading in and suffering a loss due to remake and increased my FPS well over threefold.
Well, I rebooted for windows update this morning and I'm back to where I was. I'm trying to troubleshoot again but FUCK am I pissed. Ever since the anti-cheat bullshit was implemented I have had basically nothing but fucking problems and it's fucking bullshit and Riot knows it and doesn't even offer the most basic advice such as sfc scan, DISM, chkdsk and so on.
Anyway, I think what could potentially be a fix for your issue (if you have no problem loading into the game) is to go to C:\Riot Games\League of Legends\RADS\projects\lol_game_client\releases\0.0.1.184\deploy and right click League Of Legends.exe, click properties then select the comparability tab and check the box for "disable full screen optimizations" then do the exact same thing in C:\Riot Games\League of Legends\RADS\solutions\lol_game_client_sln\releases\0.0.1.243\deploy
The shitty part is having to do this every time the game patches, even for hot fixes unless you went into regedit and disabled all the game bar etc. bullshit that way.
However, considering there hasn't been a patch in several days and you just updated windows, my suggested solution may not be of any help. If I am able to figure out why the hell I can't even load into games again, I will post an update with what fixed it for me. I guess you could write a ticket but I highly doubt support will be of ANY help. And to any staff, that is not intended as an insult. The amount of problems the anti-cheat implementation is astronomical and I understand that there are probably thousands of fixes all depending on the users computer.
One last thing... You can always attempt using the hextech repair tool...

Ok now the problem is gone, but somehow wasnt problem in windows. After updates, discord overlay was killing my fps (before update, it didnt).
