Can't Open the LoL Application

I'm on a Mac, and the game simply does nothing when I click to open it. No application pops up, no startup, no "error," not even a send report. I've tried downloading the client multiple times but to no avail. Is anyone else having this problem? I've tried deleting certain folders in the client, clearing space on my computer but it has never done this before. I click it and nothing happens... Please help! I would love to play again soon.

edit : after restarting my computer and making some small changes it finally loaded but unfortunately when i open the client every champ and skin i own (even the original) is unavailable. they look locked but i can still see ive gotten chests for champs but cant use the them nor the skins?
