Client Crash Penalities

I am growing increasingly frustrated with the client crashing. I know the new client is coming up, but the current one crashes a lot during champ select and I am getting worse and worse penalties. I don't dodge, ever, even if I hate the matchup.

I know my computer isn't the issue, nor my connection. I have run the repair tool and reinstalled several times.

I've gone from a five minute timeout to ten today, during a friend's stream, and he had to either stop streaming or leave me behind.

This is not okay. Penalizing players for an issue(that has been reported before as well) that is not in their control is like penalizing a fish for swimming. I don't get a choice when the client decides to screw up, but I'm getting penalties? I love Riot and the game, but I feel like I'm being punished for trying to play the game when this happens. Happens to me as well in ranked. Everything freezes and i get penalized with losing LP and a ban timer. I'm sick and tired of this BS because this happened to me 2 times in a row.

I could deal with the LP loss, though it is unfair, but the timer is what sucks for me. I stream and play with friends who stream, so the timer REALLY hurts my ability to do so effectively. It becomes a decision of ending, switching games(a hassle) or waiting it out and boring anyone who might come in.

This has happened to me a few times in champ select and also a few times right when i hit find match my client just crashes and closes. I have no idea what it is but i totally agree with you.

It's unfair for the players. The worst part is that there's no way to rejoin champ select like you can a game that is already in progress.

Exactly this. I always log back in, But much to my despair it just brings me back to the homepage and disbands the lobby. It's a shame, And I really wished they would fix it. Sitting at a full HOUR penalty. About to consider just putting down League until it's over, Which sucks because I have the house all to myself this week.

A friend told me his game crashes a lot when he has his Wifi turned on while on ethernet. I can't say for sure that's your issue, but might as well try if you are on ethernet!
