so yea this happened in a ranked match earlier and i ended up getting 150 gold only

this is a very strange glitch and I am glad you caught it. When I was playing in All for One I saw that happen to one of my Nids killing a low health one near the scuttle crab when she was running from midlane. Glad to see someone caught it!
That's a bug with Syndra's E, I don't think Riot has said anything about it yet but maybe they did and I just haven't found the bug report that they replied to... it's not hard to reproduce if you kill someone with a Q+E as Syndra with their teammate practically on top of them
