Thresh's Q Hitbox

Not entirely sure if this is a bug or not but...

Is Thresh's Q hitbox bugged right now? Not only on large champions, but even with small champions it seems to hook well outside of the actual skillshot area, snapping to champions from 2 Teemos away.

If this is NOT a bug, there needs to be a clarity update, either by making the scythe actually fit it's hitbox or fixing the hitbox to his scythe. I've seen way too many people get killed because the hook snaps to them from miles away. In fact, here's a somewhat funnier example that I've actually seen only once before:

This isn't QQ or anything, I'm honestly just wondering. Even Illaoi's tentacle smash fits her displayed hitbox, so there just seems to be a huge bug or lack of clarity here.
