No chat binding keys?
I submitted a ticket to Riot and got the following feedback. I think it speaks for itself. Riot, please step up your game. This is like straight Iron League performance from you guys. Please fix this!!!! There are plenty of players that would like this feature. I wouldn't even mind just being able to bind it to another key than enter.
If you think Riot REALLY should have this basic feature (like every other game in the history of keyboards), please share your support.

Is there a way to change the keybind so that enter does not do chat? I literally want to unbind any way to chat.. because apparently every time I try to explain what went wrong in a game and help other players, I get reported and this silly dev community shoves it down my throat with some kind of punishment. This is silly. You have thousands of unskilled 'ranked' players and the ranking system is obviously horrendous. I get matched with people who don't even understand basic concepts of the game like teamfighting or objectives. Until you guys fix the ranking structure, at least let us disable chat so we don't have to get punished for putting up with our teammates. It's a basic feature and would at least make life somewhat bearable. If anyone asks me why I don't put any money into this game, this is the reason I tell them.

I can definitely understand where you're coming from, there isn't a way to disable chat entirely but I'll go ahead and link you a post to unbind the 'enter' key:
We want players to reform and removing the chat entirely for them wouldn't help them change, but I do get your side and can see the benefits to it. You definitely can post this on our Boards here -- there will be players who feel the same way and this is where the Devs can see your feedback. Let me know if there's anything else I can help you with~

I appreciate the response. Really, I do. You took the time to check this out and, while I know it may not be within your power to 'make this happen', I'm hoping there's at least some way you could push this feedback up the channels because, well.... let's be real EVERY GAME on the planet has key bindings like this. I was actually surprised to find that it didn't. I thought 'oh, man... why didnt I think of this sooner? surely, I can just unbind the key!' but alas, league is scripted like its the dark ages or something. While I get that it's not something you (as Derp) can fix, you guys (as RIOT) can easily fix this. So please don't tell me you can't because there's some coder that could probably pull this off in 15 minutes over there. And I give you an S+ for effort for shooting me that link. I'm not trying to ignore it... but like.. download some 3rd party software? Really? That shouldn't be Riot's answer to this problem. The fact that I can search on your own forums for '3rd party software' and the top 20 results are all about getting banned for 3rd party software should be reason enough for this being a 'what not to do' type post. Saying, 'hey go download this software' is basically the moral equivalent of Riot telling me they're too lazy to fix their own issue. That's just me doing my share to help you be a better support specialist.
