Discord Application will block left/right clicks inside LoL.

I just played a game where suddenly I was unable to right/left click anywhere inside the game. I tried restarting the game, I tried unplugging my mouse, and restarting my pc. The game was over and I wasn't able to help my team for the last 2-3 minutes, but we were losing anyway so it's ok.

I did some googling and kept opening practice tool games to see if anything would work. I tried a different mouse. I tried every USB port on my PC for my mouse. I thought about uninstalling and reinstalling, but I saw on google that other people with the issue were unable to fix it by relogging. There were no solutions anywhere except for one person who had a similar issue . This guy said that he was unable to left/right click until he closed out of Discord.

I tried closing out of Discord, and suddenly, I can click again.

This is bizarre to me, and I have no idea why this would happen, but I guess I'm not using Discord anymore when I play League.

To clarify: I was able to click in the LoL client and any other application on my pc, but once I loaded into the game, my clicks wouldn't register.

Riot has found that discord overlays were at fault for players being unable to interact with the game, so if you use discord, try turning off your overlays. You should still be able to use discord as long as you do this.

If disabling the overlays doesn't work, try running League of Legends in administrator mode. You can do this by closing the game, right-clicking on it's icon, and selecting the "Run as Administrator" option. This has also been a solution for some players, and still enabled them to use discord as well.

You should also be careful about using any other additional apps or modifications, as they can be prone to causing issues, and they're not something Riot supports. You can read more about Riot's stance regarding this here: Third Party Applications.
