Enter Queue, denied Champ Select

There's an occasional bug where you enter a queue, but you don't enter champ select. Apparently, being the Solo Queue nut that I am, this usually ends in a dodged queue, and I have to deal with the 5:30 and 30:00 minute penalties.

You accept the queue, and when all 10 players have accepted, the "waiting for other players" disappears, but the screen doesn't change to champ select. But, you can hear all the SFX of champ select (I can hear the first picks banning champs). Sometimes, you will get thrust into champ select just randomly. But, I haven't found any surefire way to enter champ select itself; refreshing the client via looking at profile, changing rune page, etc. doesn't do anything

If you happen to spectate a game during this bug, and quit the game, you can't quit the spectator mode. The client only gives the option of a clickable-but-nonfunctional "reconnect to game" button.

Any Reds want to give their two cents on why this bug exists, and a possible fix? I know it's not the game files, because I recently repaired my client after this bug happened, and I still got it.
