long periods of lag

i have spent the day playing league and ran into a lot of lag. but this lag lasted for about 15-30 seconds and happens 2-3 times every game. i called my internet service nothing wrong. i check my computer and nothing is wrong or out dated. every game for the last 10 games i have had this lag. i don't know what to do
