My ping is like 100-1000 in league but nothing else...

It started happening yesterday where my ping will go really high but ONLY when im playing league. I've ran the speedtest by Ookla and it says my ping is like 16ms but in the game my ping is like 500ms. I am on the NA-East server if that matters.
