Nasus Q bug?

I play a considerable amount of Nasus and I almost always use the Infernal skin and I noticed that sometimes when I try to use my Q the animation keeps cancelling out 3-4 times before finally hitting the target. I tried again without the skin and I didn't experience any problems.
