Cannot connect to server

I was playing fine this morning, but now I can't load into games! The client works fine all the way through champ select, then I get to the black screen where it's supposed to load the game and... nothing. It just sits at a black screen for thirty seconds and then gives me the "You cannot connect to server, restart the client and try again" error. I've tried reconnecting, closing the client and opening it again, restarting/shutting down my computer, nothing. I can't even load into a custom game.

The League website is also loading slowly for me, but nothing else is, so I don't think it's actually my internet. Is something going on with the servers?

yeah I've seen a lot of people having this issue including myself. It's really annoying

I just tried repairing the client, see if that works. Of course, now I'm getting the "there's a lot of people waiting to log in" message so I have a feeling something's gone wrong and Riot hasn't said anything yet.

Repair didn't work, same issue. Maybe they're diverting all server power to LCS lol

Five hours later, still happening. Kind of annoying honestly. If it's still happening tomorrow I guess I'll have to send in a ticket.

22 Hours later for me I am still having issues with this, I can spectate others games but customs are not possible which are follow by the same message that you had.

Same here for me, down to being able to spectate but not play. I'm sending in a ticket to Riot and I'll let y'all know what they say if anything fixes it.
