Forced champ select dodges

This has happened a few times, and it's costing me LP and taking away from my precious league time, thank God it hasn't happened in my promos. Anyways, so I'll join a champ select, and when I join it'll be say, summoner 4's turn to pick. The timer will run down to zero and stay at zero, now I had a friend playing right beside me where the champ select was going along as normal. However I was just stuck looking at summoner 3 or 2 or someone on my team picking as it was actually my turn to pick. So then I get an error message saying there was an error changing your masteries or summoner spells, or sometimes it'll come back as normal and I'll spam lock in but it won't let me. It's caused me several unwanted dodges, I don't know if it's just my computer or a bug. However I do know that it makes a fellow league of legends player guy really REALLY sad once it happens twice in a row and you have to wait 30 minutes to even try again.
