[GAMEPLAY] Yasuo Wind Wall does -NOT- block Viktor's Post-Q Autoattack

Viktor-Yasuo Bug

I have noticed that when playing the Yasuo vs. Viktor matchup and trying to Wind Wall the Q something weird was happening, I wasn't precisely sure so I dug deeper to find out. Here I will show some pictures of a replay of a Viktor using Q on a Yasuo who Wind Walls and showing him still taking the full auto and bonus magic damage.

In this first screenshot we clearly see yasuo throwing out a Wind Wall to stop an incoming Q from Viktor. It is worth noting that Viktor immediately gets the shield upon casting, regardless of whether the Q fizzles in the wall. Kind of weird that it is called Siphon power yet doesn't have to do any Siphoning to get the bonus. I bet he still gets the MS boost too on the augment.

Anyways: Here is the Blocking of the Q

Next up is the following auto from Viktor which clearly goes right through the Wind Wall here

Now lets look at the damage dealt to prove that it is the whole auto attack going through, Yasuo starts at 528 HP

Then the Q goes through and deals 67 damage to Yasuo

Here we see that the Q only adds 48 bonus magic damage which is further reduced by resistances. link

Now for the math, Yasuo has 25 armor and 42 magic resist. Viktor has 54 AD and Siphon power adds 48 bonus magic damage on the next auto.

The calculation for damage applied is Damage * (100/(100+[Armor|MagicResist])) where armor is used for physical damage and magic resist for magical damage.

54 AD * (100/(100+25)) + 48 Bonus Magic Dmg * (100/(100+42)) - 8 (doran's shield blocks 8 damage from autos and single target spells) = 69 Damage

So him taking 67 damage total is due to regenerating 2 HP over time.

So we can conclude that there is a bug as Q should augment the next auto, but it seems to cast as a pseudo-spell by modifying the auto attack animation and it goes right through Wind Wall, which is not the intended behavior.

This isn't a bug. Viktor's enhanced attack has no travel time, and is not treated as a projectile.

Well yeah cause his Empowered attack after a Q is not a projectile.

Yasuo's Wind Wall stops any attack that has a travel time. Viktor Empowered attack after a Q is instant. It does not have a travel time so Yasuo Wind Wall does not block it.

It the same with Xerath's Q and Lux's Ult. Both of these spells can't be blocked by Yasuo's Wind Wall.

It not a bug. This is actually working as intended.

Yeah, the enhanced auto doesn't use a projectile, so WW doesn't block it. You can tell because it's instant travel, and the beam connects the two champs in the still frame. WW only blocks projectiles in transit. This is a known interaction, and I've used it plenty of times.

Viktors can also draw their E behind a Windwall as long as it doesn't cross through the windwall itself it won't be stopped.

He should not get the shield. But his AA with Q is not a projectile, since it is instant ( like xerath Q ). So windwall not blocking the AA part of his Q is intend.

To all the people saying this isn't a bug, then the tooltip on Viktor's Q is not clear. It says "and empowers the next auto attack", it should state that it changes his next attack to be a non-projectile (even though it is a projectile laser beam) attack triggered in the same way that an auto attack is used.

You can't even clearly explain it. It uses the auto attack function but doesn't hold the basic properties of an auto attack
